5 different and original ways to combine a bow tie
Bored of always seeing the same combinations? Do you want to stand out but not only thanks to your bow tie? Then you are in the right place 😊
Now that Christmas is approaching, and many of us are going to get cute, we want you to find your flow this year and surprise the attendees with an original touch by combining your New Year's Eve bow tie.
Let's now go to the 5 ways to combine a bow tie
Bow tie to match the suspenders.
Perhaps the most classic and also the most seen way to combine a bow tie. But be careful, if you want to do it well and that the combination does not become disastrous, follow these tips.
If you want the bow tie and suspenders to have the same drawing or pattern, choose more discreet or sober patterns. What we mean is that, if you have gotten a geeky bow tie with thousands of colors and superheroes everywhere, it is better not to get your suspenders with the same design. If you do, you will see that perhaps you have overloaded your look.
Therefore, our recommendation is;
- If the bow tie is discreet, plain or with a dot/check pattern, yes. Choose suspenders with the same pattern or color as your bow tie to combine them.
- However, if the bow tie is very colorful, striking and with many drawings, combine it with suspenders of a neutral color . If possible, with straps of a color that appears as the background on the bow tie and plain. We don't want suspenders with stripes, checks or other patterns that go against the bow tie.

Bow tie to match the laces.
When wearing a bow tie, you can wear dress shoes or sneakers (and if you haven't tried it, go for it). That said, in both cases you can try combining them with a very original, as well as cheap, detail.
Get some laces that match the most predominant color of your bow tie. You will see that the combination is simple but at the same time it gives it a touch of magic and elegance.
Take into account the footwear you are going to wear. Laces for dress shoes will not be the same; in this case, we recommend round, colored waxed ones. Than some laces for sports shoes, which are flat and intertwined.
We tell you this because the look can turn into a complete disaster, if for any reason you get confused ( because the night is like that ) and you put on some waxed laces with the sneakers and the bow tie.
Matching bow tie with cufflinks
Another combination of those with a touch of sophistication and simplicity . Furthermore, as in the case of laces, it is cheap.
It's about combining the bow tie with the cufflinks ( if you feel like wearing a shirt with cufflinks for cufflinks ^^).
If you feel like it, or if you have fallen in love with one of our packs, we recommend that the shirt be plain. You are already going to add two accessories (the bow tie and the cufflinks) and you should not overload the look any further.
That said, in cufflinks you have several options. At least 3, that we can think of;
- The first, that the cufflinks are the predominant color of your bow tie . It is an option when you can't find them combined anywhere. Of course, make sure that the color of the cufflinks and the bow tie is the closest.
- The second, that the cufflinks have the same design or drawing as the bow tie (like ours). This way you have no option to make a mistake, both accessories will be combined perfectly.
- And the third is to find cufflinks in the shape of some element of the pattern or drawing of your bow tie , and we explain ourselves better with an example. For example, if your bow tie has flamingos or vespinos, get some flamingo or motorcycle cufflinks. The only thing we recommend if you choose this option is that the cufflinks be discreet so as not to steal the spotlight from the main element, the bow tie.

Bow tie to match the sweater
We only recommend this look if you want to give it a more casual touch. Have you seen how good a bow tie looks with a white shirt and sweater?
Well, take a look at Google images and check it out. Of course, always keeping in mind that;
- The sweater is of a solid, uniform color
- Do not have drawings , paintings, flowers, stripes not allowed-
- We prefer the neck to be V-neck, but the round one is also nice
- The sweater is thin, to wear. Please don't combine it with a sweater for going to the snow or hunting for mushrooms.

Bow tie to match the pocket square
If look number 4 was the most casual, this one, number 5 is the most formal . The most elegant , and therefore the most suitable for a large gala or evening event.
And we say nocturnal since for us ( and as always for tastes, colors) the pocket square implies a jacket, with matching pants, that is, a dress suit. And perhaps, if you ask me, a suit with a bow tie and handkerchief is much more appropriate for events and galas than for going out for a drink with colleagues or a daytime wedding.
On the contrary, with all the previous options, it is not necessary to wear a jacket, blazer or suit. In fact, for option number 4 we do not recommend it at all.
So if you want to go, elegant, distinguished and "pink", you know, wear your bow tie with your matching handkerchief.
And after this “big talk”
Which one do you prefer? Which one are you going to try?
If you are undecided, our recommendation is that you start from the simplest to the most complex, and the simplest, in this case is the combination with the matching laces or cufflinks.
We hope it helps you and we hope to see you soon creating outfits combining all these elements (always, in the right measure).
Additionally, we remind you that if you do not yet have a bow tie with matching cufflinks or handkerchief in our online store you have more than 300 models of bow ties
